In 2026, Aljon Jimenez and his wife, actress and singer Manilyn Reynes, marked 30 years of marriage.
By then, Jimenez himself had not appeared on screen in over two decades, having stepped away from the acting career that first brought the couple together to become her full-time talent manager and the primary caretaker of their three sons.
Aljon Jimenez is a Filipino former actor known for his work in Philippine film and television between the late 1980s and mid-2000s, including the anthology series Maalaala Mo Kaya and the horror film Shake, Rattle & Roll II. He is also known as the husband and manager of actress Manilyn Reynes.

Jimenez began his acting career in the late 1980s, appearing in the film Itanong Mo sa Buwan in 1988.
He went on to appear in a run of Philippine films and television productions through the 1990s, including Shake, Rattle & Roll II and Aswang (both 1990), Loving Someone (1993), Magic Temple and Taguan (both 1996), and recurring work on the long-running anthology drama Maalaala Mo Kaya between 1994 and 1997.
His later credits included Esperanza and Ipaglaban Mo II: The Movie (1997), Super Idol (2001), and Darating ang Umaga (2003), which is listed among his final acting roles.
Jimenez met actress Manilyn Reynes through the variety show That’s Entertainment, and their relationship developed further while the two co-starred in Shake, Rattle & Roll II. Reynes has described Jimenez at the time as quiet and observant, in contrast to her own more talkative personality.
According to Reynes’s own accounts, the pair went through a period of estrangement after Jimenez temporarily cut off contact, before reconciling and beginning a relationship.
Jimenez and Reynes married in Reno, Nevada, in 1996. The couple have three sons, Kyle, Kirk and Kael, whom Reynes has said they chose to raise without a household helper, as a way of teaching the boys responsibility and independence.
Jimenez has taken on much of the couple’s domestic life, including cooking for the family and driving their sons to and from school, while Reynes has continued her television and singing career.
Jimenez took on the role of Reynes’s talent manager, handling contract negotiations and business arrangements for her career, a shift Reynes has credited with allowing her to continue working steadily in Philippine television.
The couple has described their arrangement as a team effort, with Reynes insisting that Jimenez receive a standard commission on the deals he negotiates for her, treating the management relationship as a formal business arrangement alongside their marriage.
Jimenez has also pursued private business ventures separate from his wife’s entertainment career, which the couple have largely kept out of the media.
In 2026, Jimenez and Reynes marked three decades of marriage.
Discussing their relationship on the vodcast Your Honor in September 2025, Reynes described their approach to shared finances as flexible rather than strictly equal, saying the couple had never fought over money in their time together.
She has continued to credit Jimenez publicly as an attentive husband and father who manages both her career and much of the family’s day-to-day life.
